Parsis are a religious community that follow the religion of Zoroastrianism, which revolves around the worship of fire and the elements of nature. They fled from Persia (modern day Iran) to avoid religious persecution and landed in India and were granted refuge by the local rulers. Today, Most of the Parsi population in India is settled in Mumbai and parts of Gujarat.

Parsis are known to have strict rules with regards to practice, worship and interactions with people outside the community. Examples of this include not allowing conversions to Zoroastrianism, not allowing people to marry outside the community, and outcasting those who do, not allowing people from outside the community to enter residential complexes and temples.

Over the years, their numbers have been dwindling, having only approx. 60,000 people in their community currently, which is projected to drop below 20,000 by the year 2050.

Chin Peng was a Malayan communist guerilla leader and politician, who was the long-time leader of the Malayan Communist Party and the Malayan National Liberation Army. During World War II, he fought as an anti-colonialist guerrilla in the Malayan Peoples' Anti-Japanese Army against the Japanese occupation of Malaya. He led the party's guerrilla insurgency in the Malayan Emergency, fighting against British and Commonwealth forces in an attempt to establish an independent socialist state. After the Malaysian Communist Party's defeat and subsequent Malayan independence, Chin waged a second campaign from exile against the newly formed government of Malaysia in an attempt to replace its government with a socialist one. Despite being instrumental in the Malayan Independence, Chin Peng was never honoured as an independence figure.

A scientist has discovered an uninhabited world, which has the environment and conditions which would make life and evolution of a new sentient species inevitable. For the purpose of this debate, when life and evolution occur in that world, humankind will be rendered inferior. The scientist has developed a technology which would stop the process of life and evolution in the uninhabited world.

He's an ex-deputy Commissioner of Police of Benguluru and a former farmer. Queer coding is the subtextual coding of a character in media as queer. Though such a character's sexual identity may not be explicitly confirmed within their respective work, a character might be coded as queer through the use of traits and stereotypes recognisable to the audience. Examples of queer-coded characters include Scar from the Lion King, Dumbledore from Harry Potter, Elsa from Frozen, Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Loki from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Abraham Accords, signed in 2020, normalized diplomatic relations between Israel and two Arab Gulf states, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, followed by Sudan and Morocco. The accords, all of which were signed in the latter half of 2020, consist of a general declaration alongside bilateral agreements between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is an intergovernmental organisation and international tribunal. The International Criminal Court investigates and, where warranted, tries individuals charged with the gravest crimes of concern to the international community: namely genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of aggression. As a court of last resort, it seeks to complement, not replace, national Courts. It is governed by an international treaty called the Rome Statute, and its jurisdiction currently strictly applies to countries who have signed and ratified the Rome Statute.

In March, Niger ended all millitary co-operation with United States after over 30 years of partnership. In January, Burkina Faso gave France one month to withdraw all its troops as it ended a military partnership that allowed French troops to fight insurgents on its territory.

For the purposes of this debate, a sunset clause or provision is a measure within a constitution that provides that the cosntitution shall cease to have effect after a specific date, unless the law is extended by legislative/parliamentary action

The FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement is a lifestyle and financial philosophy that emphasizes frugality, saving, and investing with the goal of achieving financial independence and retiring at a younger age than traditional retirement norms. Followers of the FIRE movement aim to accumulate enough wealth and passive income so that they can have the flexibility to leave traditional full-time work in their 40s or 50s and pursue their interests, hobbies, or alternative forms of income generation. FIRE adherents focus on saving a significant portion of their income and aggressively investing.
